If you're enrolled into a student visa course in Spain and you are from the UK, you might be wondering how to get an appointment at your local consulate to process your student visa.
Below we have the steps you need to follow to easily set up an appointment to submit your visa application at your local consulate.
If you aren't at this step yet, you might find our Brexit Visa Guide useful!
1.- Send an email to the address cog.londres.viscp@maec.es.
In the SUBJECT you must specify the type of residence visa you wish to apply for.
The TEXT of the message must state:
- NAME and SURNAME
- PASSPORT NUMBER
- PLACE OF RESIDENCE IN UK
- TYPE OF RESIDENCE VISA YOU WISH TO APPLY FOR.
Each appointment is only for one person, therefore, family members accompanying the applicant who wish to apply for a visa need to book an additional appointment.
2.- Attach to your e-mail one essential document:
a) National Visas that require a previous Authorisation for residence issued in Spain by the competent authority, the positive resolution must be attached.
This category includes all working visas, internships, researchers and family reunifications.
b) Students: Admission letter including subjects of study, proof of having paid the tuition fee, number of learning time (at least 20), number of hours of class attendance and online study modality (if applicable), start and end date of studies. (TEFL Iberia provides this for you)
c) Language assistants: Official appointment / Nombramiento oficial.
d) Investors, Entrepreneurs and Non-lucrative residence visas: Sworn translation into Spanish of ACRO Criminal Record.
e) Self-Employment work visa: EX-07 form filled.
f) Working permit exemption visa: working contract or invitation letter (if applicable).
g) Family members under the Entrepreneurial Support Act of 27 September 2013, student family members, sworn translation into Spanish of family bond document.
Failure to attach this essential document to your e-mail, your request of appointment won't be processed.
Once your document had been verified by our staff, you will receive an e-mail with a username and password to complete the process.
Applicants are strongly advised not to send more than one e-mail requesting an appointment, any reiteration will lead to a delay in the processing of their visas.
3.- Once you receive the confirmation e-mail with your password you could choose the date and time of your appointment, and modify or cancel if needed.
Applicants who do not intend to attend their appointment are kindly requested to cancel it as soon as possible. Appointments must be cancelled at least 4 days in advance.
No appointments will be given to mediators. The personal data on your appointment request must match the information on your passport.
