Pre-arrival

Your dedicated coordinator will be in touch to walk you through the visa process and paperwork. You should apply 3 months before you intend to arrive in Spain.

Arrival

Get picked up at the airport with your private airport transfer and check into your accommodation.

Week 1

1 week of orientation at the school, survival Spanish classes and fun cultural activities. Includes a guided walking tour, wine tasting session and flamenco show.

Weeks 2–5

4 weeks of Intensive teacher training to gain your CertTESOL qualification and teaching practice. Timetable: 09.30–18.00.

Week 6

Take a break! You’ve worked hard and earned your new qualification. Now you can focus on job applications, interviews & long-term accommodation.

Week 7 onwards

Start studying Spanish for 10 hours per week at our accredited partner school and take part in our regular teacher development workshops. Timetable: 09.30–11.30 or 11.30–13.30.

Can I apply for a student visa with this program?

Yes, this course qualifies you for a long-term student visa. We provide full support before and after arrival.

What is the schedule like for Spanish classes?

You’ll study 10 hours of Spanish per week, with flexible timetables and built-in breaks throughout the year to recharge or travel. The timetable is typically 09.30-11.30 or 11.30-13.30, Monday to Friday.

Is accommodation included for the full course duration?

Accommodation is provided for the first 5 weeks. After that, we support you in finding long-term housing in Barcelona.

Will I have time to explore Spain during the course?

Yes! The course includes cultural activities during the orientation week and periodic study breaks to travel or rest.

What kind of bureaucracy help is included?

  • Support with paperwork and translations
  • Booking the appointment and accompaniment to the foreign office to pick up your student card (TIE)
  • Local SIM card
  • Support with empadronamiento (proof of local address)
  • Support with your social security number

Will I be able to work while studying?

Yes, the student visa allows you to work legally in Spain up to 30 hours/week. You will work under a ‘convenio de prácticas’ contract for English teachers on student visas. You can read more about it here.

What kind of job support do you offer?

We provide job market orientation, direct access to employers, early job listings, CV preparation workshops, interview preparation and practice, and access to a strong alumni network in Barcelona.

Can I stay in Spain after the course finishes?

Many graduates stay and work in Barcelona. With current visa regulations, you can extend your course for an additional year, staying up to two years in Spain. To stay longer, you’ll likely need to return home to re-apply for a student visa.
